Huawei Mate 20 with triple rear camera setup, Kirin 980 7nm SoC launched


  Huawei has launched the Mate 20 smartphone at an event in London. The Huawei Mate 20 packs a 6.53-inch (2244 x 1080 pixels) FHD+ OLED 18:7:9 DCI-P3 HDR Display with 820 nits brightness, 88.07% screen to body ratio. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / NM card) slot, that lets you use replace the second SIM with a NM Card. The Mate 20 Pro has a glass back with unique Hyper Optical Patterns. It is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.


  The Huawei Mate 20 is powered by the HUAWEI Kirin 980 (2 x Cortex A76 2.6 GHz + 2 x Cortex A76 1.92 GHz + 4 x Cortex A55 1.8 GHz) processor with 720 MHz ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. It has 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with NM card. It runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.

  The Huawei Mate 20 comes with triple rear camera, it has a 12MP primary rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 16MP Ultra Wide Angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and 8MP Telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, laser focus, phase focus, contrast focus, OIS and AIS (Huawei AI Image Stabilization). It has a 24MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It can support face unlock.

  The Huawei Mate 20 comes with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz) (wave2), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS (L1 + L5 dual band) and NFC connectivity. It has a USB Type-C (GEN1) port and 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 4000mAh (typical) battery and it can support Huawei SuperCharge fast charging.

  The Huawei Mate 20 is priced at 799 Euros (US$ 925 / Rs. 67,820 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage version and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 849 Euros (US$ 983 / Rs. 72,070 approx.). It will go on sale in select markets such as U.K., France, Italy and United Arab Emirates starting from October 16th.
