Google Chromecast 3 launched in India for Rs. 3,499

  Google launched its third-generation Chromecast in India, after it was introduced at the Pixel event earlier this month. It has circular design with built-in HDMI cable, there is a microUSB port to enable power supply. the Chromecast 3 comes with a hockey puck-like design. It comes with matte finish instead of the glossy and Google's iconic "G" logo on top.


  It has Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5Ghz) support, the Wi-Fi reception has been improved with maximum antenna gain of 4dBi compared to Chromecast 2’s 2.1dBi gain, which is about 50% improvement.


  The third-gen Chromecast model is designed to work with Google Assistant. You can also connect your Google Home speaker with the Chromecast. The Company said that it will deliver 15% faster performance. It can support 60fps video streaming at full-HD (1080p) resolution, this is higher than the previous 60fps streaming support that was limited to HD (720p) resolution.

  The casting feature of the Chromecast can be used through an Android or iOS device. Moreover, the list of compatible apps for the Chromecast includes Netflix, YouTube, HBO , and Hulu etc. It lets users play music in sync with other speakers connected to Google’s smart devices, like a Chromecast Audio dongle, the company said that this feature will be available via an update later this year.

  The Google Chromecast 3 is priced at Rs. 3,499 in India. It is available on Flipkart. It comes with a one-year Sony LIV Premium subscription along with a six-month Gaana Plus subscription.
