New Amazon Kindle Paperwhite launched in India, price starts at Rs. 12,999

  The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite e-reader has been launched in India. It  comes with a waterproof body with IPX8 ratings to protect against immersion in up to two metres of fresh water for up to 60 minutes. It packs a 6-inch touch screen with 300 PPI pixel density. It has a 8.18mm slim body and weighs 182 grams, making it the thinnest and lightest Kindle Paperwhite yet.


  The Wi-Fi version comes with 8GB internal storage, 32GB Internal storage for the WiFi + 4G version for storing even more content. The Company says that it will last for up to six weeks, based on a half hour of reading per day with wireless off and the light setting at 13. It comes in Black colour.

  It comes with an updated home, the new home experience makes it easier to find your next read based on your reading history, including books that are free for you to read from Kindle Unlimited or Prime Reading. It will easily personalize your reading, you can save multiple reading settings, selecting the font, boldness level, and orientation settings you prefer, all from the main menu and quickly switch between those settings.

  The new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is priced at Rs. 12999 for the 8GB WiFi version and the 32GB WiFi + 4G version costs Rs. 17,999 in India. It is now available for pre-order on Amazon.in and goes on sale from November 14th.
