LG V40 ThinQ with triple rear camera setup, Snapdragon 845 SoC launched

  LG has launched the LG V40 ThinQ smartphone. It packs a 6.4-inch (3120 x 1440 pixels) FullVision OLED Display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It come with It has MIL-STD 810G military-grade durability and it is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. It uses Silky Blast process that etches the tempered glass back with microscopic pits to create a smoother matte finish so it is not slippery when holding and is also resistant to fingerprints and stains. It can support dual sim and dual 4G VoLTE connectivity.


  The LG V40 ThinQ is powered by the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB / 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage, expandable memory up to 2TB with microSD card. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with LG UX, it is upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie).


  The LG V40 ThinQ comes with triple rear camera setup, it has a 12MP primary rear camera with f/1.5 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, 78° lens, it has a 16MP secondary super wide-angle rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 107° lens, and it also has a 12MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 45° lens and Dual LED flash. The LG V40 ThinQ comes with Dual front-facing camera, it has a 8MP primary front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, 80° lens, and it has a secondary 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size and 90° wide-angle lens. It can support face unlock.

  The LG V40 ThinQ has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC connectivity. It has a USB Type-C (USB 3.1) port and 3.5mm audio jack. It comes with 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC, DTS: X 3D Surround Sound and Boombox Speaker. It packs a 3300mAh battery, it can support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 (Quick Charge 4 Compatible) and Wireless charging.

  The LG V40 ThinQ is available from Verizon USA starting at $40.83 a month for 24 months or $979.99 (Rs. 72,445) in retail from October 18. T-Mobile offers it for $200 down and $30 a month for 24 months (FRP: $920 (Rs. 67,980 approx.)) from October 19th, and Sprint is offering it at $20 per month plan that comes to around $960 (Rs. 70,940 approx.), starting October 19th. Pre-orders get DJI Osmo Mobile 2 gimbal and SanDisk Ultra 256GB microSD card.
