Redmi Y2 camera review
Recently, Honor also launched the Honor 7A and Honor 7C smartphones in India. Those smartphones comes with Dual rear camera setup.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 has 5.99-inch HD+ display, it is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC. It has 3GB RAM with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage / 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and you can expand memory with microSD card via dedicated microSD card slot.
The Redmi Y2 smartphone comes with a dual rear camera, it has a 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 5MP rear camera. It has a 16MP front-facing camera with LED flash. The rear camera comes with EIS for video recording. The rear camera can record full HD videos.
The rear camera pictures are looking colourful, the details of the pictures are really good. The pictures are not over saturated. The dual rear camera can produce portrait pictures, I mean it can take photos with bokeh effect. The edge direction is really good. In low light conditions, Redmi Y2 can take decent pictures. It has ability to take portrait pictures, but when I tried to take selfies with portrait mode it switching to rear camera, I think this is bug.
The rear camera can record full HD videos and it has EIS. Most of the budget smartphone comes without EIS. The full HD videos looking really good.
I think Xiaomi did really good job in rear camera department. If you compare the portrait pictures to other budget smartphones like honor 7c, Realme 1 ect the edge direction is really good on Redmi Y2.
Let's see front-facing camera, the Redmi Y2 smartphone has 16mp front-facing camera with LED. The front-facing camera is doing good job.
