Xiaomi Mi Watch launched in China and price starts at 1299 yuan

  Xiaomi has launched the Mi watch, the company’s first smartwatch in the Mi Ecosystem in China. It sports a 1.78-inch (368 x 448 pixels) AMOLED 326PPI screen, the standard Mi watch has got Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while premium edition features the sapphire crystal protection. It comes with a aluminium alloy frame with a matte finish and it has got ceramic back panel. The company said that the Mi Watch is swim proof smartwatch, so you can use it while swimming.


  The Mi Watch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC and support dual-SIM cellular connectivity via eSIM. The smartwatch also includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC, GPS+GLONASS+BEIDOU support.

  Xiaomi has used a version of its MIUI operating system that has been tweaked for the smartwatches. Dubbed as MIUI for Watch, it includes components from Google's Wear OS. Xiaomi also includes the Mi voice assistant to control smart home devices and other functions. You can download apps from Play Store / mi app store, you can easily download watch face market. It also supports dark mode and support for custom watch faces. The Mi watch is compatible with Android and iOS devices.

  The Mi Watch has Accelerometer, Geomagnetic sensor, Heart Rate Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Barometer sensor. It comes with sleep tracking, stress tracking, body energy tracking, and 10 professional sports modes for detailed breakdown of your sporting activities. It houses a 570mAh battery, the company said that it will provide up to 36 hours of battery life on 4G.

  The Xiaomi Mi Watch comes in Silver and Elegant Black colors with rubber band, while the Premium Edition comes in Black color with Stainless Steel band.

Price and Availability

  The standard Xiaomi Mi Watch costs 1299 yuan (US$ 185 / Rs. 13,125 approx.) and will be available in China from November 11th, while premium edition costs 1999 yuan (US$ 285 / Rs. 20,200 approx.) in China and will go on sale in China from mid-December.
