Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro with 108mp Penta rear camera setup, Snapdragon 730G SoC, 32MP selfie camera launched



   Xiaomi has launched Mi CC9 Pro smartphone in China. The Mi CC9 Pro is a camera centric smartphone. At the event the company said that the phone has scored 121 points on Dxo Mark test, equivalent to HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro. Let's see how does it going to perform in real life.

Mi CC9 Pro full specifications:

  The Mi CC9 Pro sports a 6.47-inch (2340 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display with 600nit (HBM) / 430nit(Typ) brightness, 400000:1 (Min) contrast ratio and DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut. The smartphone comes with a Glass back panel, both front and back panels covered by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has dedicated dual nano SIM card slot.

  The Mi CC9 Pro is powered by the Octa Core (2.2GHz Dual + 1.8GHz Hexa) Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform with Adreno 618 GPU. It packs 6GB / 8GB  LPPDDR4x RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage / 8GB LPPDDR4x RAM with 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. It runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 9.0 Pie OS.


  The Mi CC9 Pro features a Penta camera setup, it has a a 108-megapixel (1/ 1.33″ Samsung HMX sensor) primary rear camera with an f/1.69 aperture and four-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). It is assisted by a 20MP wide-angle camera with a 117-degree field of view, a 12MP short telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, an 8MP long telephoto lens with 50x digital zoom support, and a macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture that is capable of clicking images with a minimum subject distance of 2cm. It also comes with a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

  The Mi CC9 Pro features a In-Display fingerprint sensor and it also comes with a face unlock support. It has got infrared sensor. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5,0, GPS / A-GPS, Galileo, and GLONASS. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone and a USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer. It also has 3.5mm Audio jack and supports Hi-Res audio technology. It houses 5260mAh battery and has 30W fast charging support.

Price and Availability

  The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is priced at 2799 yuan (US$ 399 / Rs. 28,235 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version, 3099 yuan (US$ 442 / Rs. 31,280 approx.) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version and 3499 yuan (US$ 499 / Rs. 35,315 approx.) for the top-end 8GB RAM with 256GB storag version in China. It will go on sale on November 11 in China, but there is no word on the Mi CC9 Pro's availability in markets outside China.
