SHARP AQUOS R3 with Dual notch design display, Snapdragon 855 SoC, 16.3mp front-facing camera announced, price ?

  SHARP has announced the AQUOS R3 smartphone. It has 6.2-inch Quad HD+ (3120 × 1440 pixels) IGZO LCD 2.5D curved glass display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refnresh rate. It comes with dual notch design and it supports HDR10.


  The Sharp Aquos R3 is powered by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform (1 x 2.84GHz Kryo 485 + 3 x 2.42GHz Kryo 485 + 4x 1.80GHz Kryo 485) with Adreno 640 GPU. It packs a 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB internal storage (UFS), you can expand memory up to 512GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 9 Pie OS out of the box.

  The SHARP AQUOS R3 features a dual rear camera setup, it has a 12.2MP primary rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, 78° wide-angle lens, OIS, and a 20.1MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture, 125° ultra-wide lens and LED flash. It has a 16.3MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It does support face unlock.

  The SHARP AQUOS R3 comes with a fingerprint sensor. It has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with GLONASS connectivity. It has USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 3200mAh battery, it supports both fast charging as well as wireless charging.

  The Company has not announced the price yet, but it claims the smartphone will be available from early summer through all the major carriers (NTT DoCoMo, au, Softbank) in Japan.
