Sony Xperia Ace with Snapdragon 630 SoC, IPX8 water-dust resistant design launched

  Sony has launched the Xperia Ace (SO-02L) smartphone. It sports a 5-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ LCD Trilluminous Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It has a water and dust-resistant body with IPX5 and IPX8 ratings. It supports dual sim.


  The Xperia Ace is powered by the 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 508 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, and you can expand memory up to 512GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS out of the box.

  The Xperia Ace features a 12MP  rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.25 μm, Exmor R sensor, Hybrid (OIS + EIS) image stabilization and LED flash. It comes with a 8MP front-facing camera. It supports face unlock.

  The Xperia Ace comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS. It features a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack. It houses a 2700mAh battery and supports fast charging.

Price and Availability

  The Sony Xperia Ace is priced at 48,600 yen (US$ 444 / Rs. 31,190 approx.) and will go on sale through Japanese operator NTT Docomo starting June 1st.
