Black Shark 2 with Snapdragon 855 SoC, Dual rear camera setup, up to 12GB RAM launched in India



  Black Shark 2 smartphone has been launched in India. It sports a 6.39-inch (2340 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 108.9% DCI – P3 color gamut and 430 nits brightness. The smartphone also comes with a Magic Press pressure-sensing technology, it enables customisation of pressure sensitivity on the display to offer enhanced control. It comes with upgraded ‘X-style’ unique antenna design for a better reception, RGB logo on the back. The Black Shark 2 also packs a new touch algorithm that is designed to reduce the touch response time on the display to as low as 43.5 milliseconds. It has dual nano SIM card slot.


  The Black Shark 2 is powered by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform (1 x 2.84GHz Kryo 485 + 3 x 2.42GHz Kryo 485 + 4x 1.80GHz Kryo 485) with Adreno 640 GPU. It has liquid cooling 3.0 that Tower-wide global liquid cooling system that uses liquid-cooled plate + liquid-cooled tube that can effectively cover all the heat-generating components to reduce the CPU’s core temperature by up to 14° C, compared to 12° C in the predecessor. It packs 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage, 12GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) OS.

  The Black Shark 2 comes with dual rear camera setup, it has a 48MP primary rear camera with 1/2.0″ Samsung GM1 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.75 aperture, LED flash, and there is a secondary 12MP 1/3.6″ Samsung S5K3M5 sensor with telephoto lens with f/2.2 aperture, 1.0μm pixel size, 6P lens, 2x lossless zoom. It has a 20MP front-facing camera with 0.9μm pixel size and f/2.0 aperture. It supports face unlock.


  The Black Shark 2 features a In-Display fingerprint sensor. It comes with stereo audio along with artificial intelligence (AI)-based noise reduction and anti-howling sound experience. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou connectivity. It has a USB Type-C port. It packs a 4000mAh battery, and it supports 27W fast charging that offers 30 minutes of gaming with just 5 minutes of charging.
