Samsung Galaxy Fold launched in India
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Fold smartphone in India. It sports a 7.3-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display with 4.2:3 aspect ratio, which foldable into a compact device. There is a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED cover display with 21:9 aspect ratio. You can use the cover display when the smartphone is folded.
The Galaxy Fold is powered by the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform (Max. 2.84 GHz + 2.41 GHz + 1.78 GHz) with Adreno 640 GPU. It packs 12GB LPDDR4x RAM with 512GB Internal storage (UFS 3.0). It runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS out of the box. The UI comes with some interesting features such as App Continuity so apps will automatically show up where you leave off when you open and close the display and the Multi-Active Window lets you open up to three active apps simultaneously on the main display so you can surf, text, work, watch and share easily.
The Galaxy Fold features 6 cameras, it has got a 12MP primary Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.4-f/1.5 variable aperture, OIS, a 12MP Telephoto lens with 45° FoV, f/2.4 aperture, and a 16MP 123° Ultra Wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture with 0.5X/2X optical zoom and up to 10X digital zoom.
It has got dual selfie camera setup, it has a 10MP Dual Pixel front-facing camera with 80° wide-angle lens, f/1.9 aperture, and a 8MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 90° FoV. There is a 10MP cover camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The Galaxy Fold features a side mounted fingerprint sensor. It has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 4×4 MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS with GLONASS, NFC and MST connectivity. It has a USB Type-C port. It houses a 4380mAh battery and supports fast Charging both on wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) charging. It comes in Cosmos Black colour.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold is priced at Rs. 1,64,999 in India. This smartphone will be available for pre-order in India from October 4, 2019 online on Samsung’s official online store, Samsung Shop, and offline in 35 cities across select 315 outlets, including the iconic Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru and deliveries will begin on October 20, 2019.
