Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL smartphones launched in US


  Google has announced its Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones at an event in the US. The Pixel 4 sports a 5.7-inch FHD+ OLED display, while the Pixel 4XL features 6.3-inch Quad HD+ OLED display. There is no notch on the top, but you will get heavy bezels, which is not good at all. Google has put some important sensors for face unlock and hands free navigation, that why you will get heavy bezels on the top.


  Thse have Glass back panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and comes in matte finish hybrid coating and has Soft touch or polished glass variant. These have an Aluminum frame. Both Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL smartphones are IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. These come in Just Black, Clearly White and Limited Edition Oh So Orange colours.

  These are powered by Snapdragon 855 with 6GB of RAM and run Android 10 OS and you guys will get 3 years of Android updates and security updates. There is Google’s custom-built Titan M security chip. You will get advanced Google Assistant with new Pixel 4 series smartphones, Google Assistant is now smarter than before.

  Both have 12.2MP + 16MP dual rear camera setup with LED flash, and There’s also a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor on the back for accurate distance and depth sensing. Both smartphone have 8MP selfie camera. Google did some improvement in camera department.

  Most importantly, you guys will miss fingerprint sensor, So you guys have to rely on Face unlock. Google says it works a little differently on a technical level. It is the only biometric authentication on the phone, and it fully replaces the fingerprint sensor for things like password vaults, banking apps, and to confirm purchases. I think Google should have gone with In-Display fingerprint sensor. However, the face unlock is pretty fast, it can easily beat Apple's Face ID.

Price and Availability

  The Pixel 4 is priced at $799 (Rs. 57,105 approx.) and $899 (Rs. 64,250 approx.) for 64GB and 128GB versions, respectively and the Pixel 4 XL is priced at $899 (Rs. 64,250 approx.) and $999 (Rs. 71,400 approx.), for the for 64GB and 128GB versions in US. These are available for pre-order in the US and several countries and will ship from October 24, but will not launch in India.
