Xiaomi Redmi 6 with Dual rear camera setup, MediaTek Helio P22 SoC launched in India



  Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 6 smartphone in India. The Redmi 6 has a 5.45-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display and 1000:1 contrast ratio. It has dedicated dual sim card and microSD card slot. It has a polycarbonate back panel has a brushed metal surface.


  The Redmi 6 is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) 12nm processor with 650MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. In terms of storage, it has 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD card via dedicated microSD card slot. The Redmi 6 is running on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 out of the box.


  The Redmi 6 comes with Dual rear camera setup, It has a 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and secondary 5MP rear camera. Rear camera can record full HD videos. It has a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.

  The Redmi 6 has fingerprint sensor on the back and it has also face unlock feature. It has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS connectivity. It has microUSB port and 3.5mm Audio jack. It packs a 3000mAh battery.

  The Xiaomi Redmi 6 is priced at Rs. 7,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, and the 64GB storage version of it will cost Rs. 9,499 in India. It will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi.com starting from September 10th.
