Honor Play with Kirin 970 SoC, AI dual rear camera setup launched in India, price starts at Rs. 19,999
Huawei's Honor brand has launched the Honor Play smartphone in India, this is a mid-range smartphone from Honor. The Honor Play packs a 6.3-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ LCD 19:5:9 2.5D curved glass display, 85% NTSC color gamut. It has metal body. It has Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD) card slot. It can support Dual 4G VoLTE connectivity.
The Honor Play smartphone is powered by the Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 970 (4 x 2.4 GHz A73+ 4 x 1.8 GHz A53) 10nm processor with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU, i7 co-processor, NPU, GPU Turbo. GPU Turbo graphics processing acceleration technology that increases graphics processing efficiency of mobile phones for smoother and faster mobile experience, especially for mobile games. It has 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage, you can expand memory up to 256GB with microSD card via Hybrid slot. This smartphone is running on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.2.
This smartphone is designed for gamers. This smartphone is featured some interesting AI features. The company said it will provide 4D gaming experience includes not only graphics and 3D audio effects. The AI vibration customized games and matched to in-game objects and scenarios. The AI real-time image and audio recognition is enabled for 30 different scenario 10 different vibrations, according to the direction of approaching enemies or gunfire, and users will even feel the kickback as you pull the trigger. The rear camera comes with AI scene recognition that can detect over 500 scenes. It even recognizes and retouches the different parts of what you are shooting at the same time. The rear camera can record up to 4K videos. It has a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The front-facing camera uses pixel binning technology, combining the information from four pixels to create one large 2.0µm pixel. The front-facing comes with AI portrait mode and 3D portrait lighting. It can support face unlock feature.
The Honor Play has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and NFC connectivity. It has a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm Audio jack. It packs a 3750mAh battery and it can support fast charging.

Honor Play is priced at Rs. 19,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 23,999 in India. It will go on sale exclusively on Amazon.in and official Honor online store starting from August 8th.
