Nubia Red Magic 3 Gaming smartphone launched, price starts at 2899 yuan



  ZTE’s Nubia brand has launched the Nubia Red Magic 3 smartphone in China, the Red Magic 3 smartphone is made for Gaming lovers. The Red Magic 3 sports a 6.65-inch (2340 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and 430 nits brightness. It did not have any notch so it has thick top and bottom bezel. The front of the phone also houses the stereo speaker setup, DTS:X, and 3D sound technologies that creates a cinematic soundscape, with or without headphones. It has 16.8 million colour RGB colour lights on the back. In terms of design and build quality, you are not going to find any difference between Red Magic 3 and 1st Red Magic smartphones.

Processor and Cooling technology:

  The Red Magic 3 is powered by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform (1 x 2.84GHz Kryo 485 + 3 x 2.42GHz Kryo 485 + 4x 1.80GHz Kryo 485) with Adreno 640 GPU. The company said that the Red Magic 3 is the first smartphone with an active cooling system that dramatically improving thermal performance. It pairs state-of-the-art liquid cooling technology with an internal turbo fan, increasing effective heat transfer by 500%. This groundbreaking thermal design improves comfort and boosts performance for a smoother, more comfortable gaming experience.

Touch sensitive triggers and Red Magic Game space:




  The Red Magic 3 features Touch-sensitive shoulder triggers provide additional hardware buttons. It has an additional hardware switch toggles “Red Magic Game Space 2.0,” a gaming-focused dashboard. It helps you to organize and quick-launch games, fine-tune performance settings and fan speeds, monitor temperature and usage stats in real time, block notifications for uninterrupted gaming, record in-game videos, and more.

RAM, Storage and Android version:

  The Red Magic 3 has various RAM and storage options, it packs 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage, 8GB LPDDR4x RAMwith 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage, 12GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with Redmagic OS 2.0 on top.

CAMERA:


  The Red Magic 3 features a 48MP rear camera with 1/2.0″ Sony IMX586, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.75 aperture and Dual LED flash. It comes with a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Sadly there is no dual rear camera setup, but the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor is a really good sensor, let's see how it performs.

Connectivity and Battery:

  The Red Magic 3 comes with a dedicated dual nano sim card slot. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou connectivity. It has a USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 5,000mAh battery, and it does support 27W quick charging. The Company said that the phone will provide an hour of gameplay with a 10-minute of charge.

Security:

  It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it does support face unlock.

  It comes in Black, Flame Red, Camouflage and Red with Blue Gradient colours.

Price and Availability:

  The Nubia Red Magic 3 is priced at 2899 yuan (US$ 430 / Rs. 30,000 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version, 3199 yuan (US$ 475 / Rs. 33,090 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version, 3499 yuan (US$ 519 / Rs. 36,195 approx.) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version and the high-end 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version costs 4299 yuan (US$ 638 / Rs. 44,480 approx.) in China. It will go on sale in China from May 3rd. The Company said that it will roll out globally later in May in the USA, Canada, Europe and UK. The company has also confirmed that the Red Magic 3 will be available soon in India.
