Samsung Galaxy A80 with rotatable triple camera setup, In-Display fingerprint sensor, Snapdragon 730G SoC launched

  Samsung has launched the Galaxy A80 smartphone in Thailand. It sports a 6.7-inch (2400 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 20: 9 Super AMOLED display, it comes without any notch. The phone has a 3D Glasstic body with a metal frame. Dedicated dual nano sim card slot. It does support dual 4G VoLTE connectivity.


  The Galaxy A80 is powered by the Octa Core (2.2GHz Dual + 1.8GHz Hexa) Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform with Adreno 618 GPU. It has 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with Samsung One UI.

  Samsung has adopted new technology in camera department. The Galaxy A80 features rotating camera module with a 48MP primary rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, secondary, a 8MP 123° ultra wide-angle lens and a 3D Depth camera for Live Focus by scanning objects for measurement and depth. The triple camera setup does support 4K@30fps video recording. There is no dedicated front-facing camera, because the three cameras automatically pop-up from the back of the phone and rotate.


  The Galaxy A80 comes with a In-Display fingerprint sensor. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS connectivity. It has a USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack is missing. It does support Dolby Atmos audio. It packs a 3700mAh battery, it supports 25W super fast charging. The Galaxy A80 comes in Angel Gold, Ghost White and Phantom Black colours.

  The Samsung Galaxy A80 is priced at 649 Euros (US$ 729 / ₹ 50,445 approx.) and will roll out in Europe from May 29.
