  Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 7 smartphone in India. It sports a 6.26-inch (1520 × 720 pixels) HD+ 19:9 2.5D curved glass display, 84% NTSC Color Gamut, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 450 nits brightness Corning, and it has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It comes with waterdrop notch design display. It comes with Polycarbonate back panel with Glossy finish. It has P2i nano coating for water resistant, but it is not waterproof. It has a dedicated dual sim card slot and a dedicated microSD card slot.

  The Redmi 7 is powered by the 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 632 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. It packs 2GB / 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, you can expand memory up to 512GB with microSD card via dedicated microSD card slot. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 on top.

  The Redmi 7 comes with a dual rear camera setup, it has a 12MP primary rear camera with 1.25um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and a secondary 2MP rear camera with LED Flash. The rear camera setup can record 1080p@60fps videos. It has a 8MP front-facing camera. The front-facing camera does support 360° face unlock.


  The Redmi 7 has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS connectivity. It has a microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 4000mAh battery.

  The Redmi 7 is priced at Rs. 7,999 for the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage version and the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version costs Rs. 8,999 in India. It will be available at Amazon.in, Mi.com and Mi Home stores starting from April 29th. It comes with double data for 4 years and Rs. 2400 cashback in the form of vouchers for Jio users.
