Oppo A9 with Dual rear camera setup, 16MP front-facing camera, MediaTek Helio P70 SoC launched



  OPPO has launched the Oppo A9 smartphone in China, the Oppo A9 is the company’s latest mid-range ‘A series’ smartphone. It sports a 6.5-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ display. It has dedicated dual sim card slot and a dedicated microSD card slot. It has a 3D gradient back panel.


  The Oppo A9 is powered by the Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P70 12nm processor (Quad 2.1GHz Cortex A73 + Quad 2GHz Cortex A53 CPUs) with 900MHz ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, and you can expand storage up to 256GB with microSD card via dedicated microSD card slot. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0 on top.

  The Oppo A9 has 16MP + 2MP (f/2.0 aperture) rear camera setup with dual-tone LED flash. It has a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Both front and rear cameras can record Full HD videos. It does support face unlock.

  The Oppo A9 features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS connectivity. It has a microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 4020mAh battery, and comes with fast charging support. In terms of sensors, it has all important sensors like accelerometer, proximity, compass Gyro etc.

   The Oppo A9 is priced at 1799 yuan (US$ 266 / Rs. 18,660 approx.) in China, and it will be available for pre-order through OPPO Shop and goes on sale from April 30 in China.
