Redmi Note 8 with 48mp Quad Rear camera setup, Snapdragon 665 SoC, 4000mAh battery launched



  Along with Redmi Note 8 pro, Redmi also has launched the Note 8 smartphone in China. The Redmi Note 8 sports a 6.39-inch (2340 ×1080 pixels) Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass LCD screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and it has got Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back with P2i splash-resistant coating. It has Hybrid dual SIM card slot.


  The Redmi Note 8 is powered by the Octa Core Snapdragon 665 11nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 610 GPU. It packs 6GB RAM with 64GB storage / 6GB RAM with 64GB storage / 128GB storage, and you can expand storage up to 256GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 9 pie OS with MIUI 10.

  The Redmi Note 8 features a quad rear camera setup, it has a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary rear camera with f/1.79 aperture, 6P lens, PDAF, EIS, a 8MP 120° ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP camera for 2cm macro with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture and dual LED flash it comes with a 13MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, and It supports face unlock.


  The Redmi Note 8 features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and IR blaster. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou connectivity. It has a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack. It houses a 4000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.

Price and Availability

  The Redmi Note 8 is priced at 999 yuan (US$ 139 / Rs. 10,025 approx.) for 4GB RAM + 64GB Internal storage, the 6GB RAM + 64GB Internal storage version costs 1199 yuan (US$ 167 / Rs. 12,035 approx.), and the high-end 6GB RAM + 128GB Internal storage version is priced at 1399 yuan (US$ 195 / Rs. 14,035 approx.) in China. It will go on sale in China from September 17.
