Honor Play 8 budget smartphone launched in China

  Honor Play 8 smartphone has been launched in China. It has a 5.71-inch (1520 × 720 pixels) HD+ 19:9 IPS LCD display with 294PPI. It comes with dedicated dual nano SIM and dedicated microSD card slot. It has polycarbonate body.


  The Honor Play 8 is powered by the 2.0GHz Quad-Core (ARM Cortex A53) MediaTek Helio A22 12nm Processor with IMG PowerVR GE8300 GPU. It packs 2GB RAM with 32GB storage, and you can expand storage up to 512GB with microSD card via dedicated microSD card slot. It runs on Android 9 pie OS with EMUI 9.0.

  The Honor Play 8 features a 13MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. It comes with a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It supports face unlock. However there is no fingerprint sensor. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS connectivity. It has a microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack. It houses a 3020mAh battery. It comes in Magic Night Black and Aurora Blue colour options.

  The HONOR Play 8 is priced at 599 yuan (US$ 87 / Rs. 5,960 approx.) in China. It is now available to buy from HONOR’s Vmall store and other major e-retailers in China.
