Black Shark 2 Pro with Snapdragon 855, Dual rear camera setup and Liquid cooling 3.0 technology launched



  The Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone has been launched in China. It sports a 6.39-inch (2340 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 108.9% DCI – P3 color gamut and 430 nits brightness. In terms of design, the Black Shark 2 Pro comes with an upgrade in design, there are two more RGB LED lights on either side of the Black Shark logo. It has got dedicated dual nano SIM card slot.


  The Black Shark 2 Pro is powered by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus (1 x Kryo 485 at 2.96GHz + 3 x Kryo 485 at 2.42GHz + 4 x Kryo 385 at 1.8GHz) 7nm Mobile Platform with 675MHz Adreno 640 GPU. It comes with Liquid Cool 3.0+ technology that is designed to manage heat dissipation, and DC Dimming 2.0 support is also integrated. It packs 12GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB / 256GB (UFS 3.0) internal storage. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS.


  In terms of cameras, it has a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary rear camera with 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.75 aperture, LED flash, a 12MP 1/3.6″ Samsung S5K3M5, telephoto lens with f/2.2 aperture, 1.0μm pixel size, 6P lens and 2x lossless zoom. It comes with a 20MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 0.9μm pixel size.

  The Black Shark 2 Pro features a In-Display fingerprint sensor, and it also supports face unlock. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou connectivity. It has a USB Type-C port. Sadly, it comes without a 3.5mm audio jack. It houses a 4000mAh battery and it supports 27W fast charging.

Price and Availability

  The Black Shark 2 Pro is priced at 2999 yuan (US$ 435 / Rs. 29,950 approx.) for the 12GB RAM with 128GB storage and the high-end 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version costs 3499 yuan (US$ 508 / Rs. 34,945 approx.) In China. Now it is available for pre-order and will go on sale in China from August 2nd.
