Nubia Alpha smartwatch with flexible display launched, price starts €449

   Nubia has launched the Alpha at the MWC 2019, the company said that the Nubia Alpha world’s most advanced wearable smartphone. The Nubia Alpha sports a 4.01-inch flexible OLED display from Visionox. The Company said that the wrap-around screen has an Panoramic aspect ratio for a more immersive and complete experience. The company also said that the flexible display is coated in strong, heat-resistant Polyimide. It is also water resistant.


  The Nubia Alpha is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform. It packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard memory. You can control this smartwatch with gestures. It comes with two versions - the base version supports only Bluetooth, while the higher version supports eSIM. eSIM version support 4G, native voice calling in addition to WiFi and Bluetooth in the standard version that also let you make calls when you connect it to the phone via Bluetooth. There is built-in speaker and microphone for calling or you can use Bluetooth headset to attend the calls.

  The Nubia Alpha has a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and 82-degree wide-angle lens. It can record videos. It has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity. It comes with Accelerometer, gyro, heart rate, compass sensor. Like fitness bands It can also track your activities. It packs a 500mAh battery, the company claims it will give you 1-2 days of battery with regular use or up to a week of standby time.

  The Nubia Alpha has stainless steel body, it comes in Black and Gold colours, the Gold version feature a band plated in 18k gold.

  The Nubia Alpha is priced at 449 Euros (Rs. 36,265 approx.) for the standard Bluetooth version,  the 4G eSIM version costs 549 Euros (Rs. 44,340 approx.) and the high-end 4G eSIM 18k Gold version costs 649 Euros (Rs. 52,420 approx.).
