Redmi 7 with Dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 632 SoC, Android 9 Pie OS launched

  Redmi 7 smartphone has been launched in China. It sports a 6.26-inch (1520 × 720 pixels) HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 19:9 aspect, ratio 84% NTSC Color Gamut, and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on the front and the back. It is splash resistant, the company said that it has P2i nano coating. It has dedicated dual sim and a dedicated microSD card slot. It supports dual 4G VoLTE connectivity.


  The Redmi 7 is powered by the 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 632 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. It packs 2GB RAM with 16GB storage / 3GB RAM with 32GB storage / 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, you can expand memory up to 512GB with microSD card via dedicated microSD card slot. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 UI.


  The Redmi 7 features dual rear cameras, it has a 12MP primary rear camera with 1.12um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and it has a secondary 2MP rear camera with LED flash. It comes with a 8MP front-facing camera. It supports face unlock.

  The Redmi 7 comes with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, and it has a infrared sensor. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS connectivity. It has a microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 4000mAh battery.

  The Redmi 7 is priced at 699 yuan (US$ 104 / Rs. 7,135 approx.) for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version, 799 yuan (US$ 119 / Rs. 8,155 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs 999 yuan (US$ 148 / Rs. 10,200 approx.) in China. It will go on sale in China from March 26th.
