LG V40 ThinQ with triple rear camera setup, Dual front-facing camera launched in India

  LG has launched the V40 ThinQ penta camera smartphone in India, it was introduced back in October last year. The LG V40 ThinQ sports a 6.4-inch (3120 x 1440 pixels) FullVision OLED Display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The company said that It uses Silky Blast process that etches the tempered glass back with microscopic pits to create a smoother matte finish and is also fingerprint resistant. It has MIL-STD 810G military-grade durability and is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. It has Hybrid dual sim card slot, and it can support dual 4G VoLTE connectivity.


  The LG V40 ThinQ is powered by the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. It packs 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage, you can expand memory up to 2TB with microSD card via Hybrid slot. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with LG UX, the company said that it will get Android 9.0 (Pie) update.


  The LG V40 ThinQ comes with triple rear camera setup, it has 12MP rear camera with f/1.5 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, 78° lens, 16MP super wide camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 107° lens, and 12MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 45° lens and Dual LED flash. The Triple Shot feature stitches together the images captured with each of the three lenses into a short video file for easy sharing. It comes with dual front-facing camera, it has 8MP front camera with f/1.9 aperture,1.12μm pixel size, 80° lens, and it has 5MP secondary front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size and 90° wide-angle lens. It comes with AI Auto White Balance (AI AWB), AI Shutter selects the right shutter speed, especially useful when trying to capture fast-moving subjects, Cine Shot, 3D Light Effect, Makeup Pro, Custom Backdrop, My Avatar and AR Emoji. The triple rear camera setup can record 4k @30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps and HDR videos and front-facing camera can record up to 1080p@30fps videos. There is a preloaded Triple Preview feature that is designed to let you capture three simultaneous shots from the triple rear camera setup and pick the best among them.

  The LG V40 ThinQ can support face unlock, and it comes with rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC connectivity. It comes with a a USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible) port. It has 3.5mm audio jack with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and Boombox Speaker. It packs a 3300mAh battery with support for fast charging and wireless charging.

  The LG V40 ThinQ is priced at Rs. 49,990 in India and is available exclusively on Amazon. The company is offering free screen replacement worth Rs. 16,750, No cost EMI and Rs. 5000 extra on exchange.
