  The Samsung Galaxy Quantum 2 smartphone has been launched in partnership with SK Telecom in South Korea. The company said that the Galaxy Quantum 2 is the world’s first 5G smartphone with quantum random number generation (QRNG) chipset. Even this has a QRNG (Quantum Random Number Generator) chipset with the 2.5 mm wide × 2.5 mm long size.

  The company said that the Quantum random number generation chipset helps to use security-critical services such as authentication, finance, and messengers more safely by generating unpredictable and unpatterned pure random numbers.

  The Galaxy Quantum 2 packs a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with 10mp punch-hole selfie camera, it comes with polycarbonate back panel. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 855+ SoC and runs on Android 11 OS out of the box. It features 64mp triple rear camera setup. It houses a 4500mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging.

Price and Availability

  The Samsung Galaxy Quantum 2 is priced at 699,600 won (US$ 622 / Rs. 46,940 approx.) and is already available for order in Korea from SK Telecom and will be available from 23rd April. It is expected to be introduced as Galaxy A82 soon for the global markets.
