2nd Gen Amazon Echo Buds price and full specifications
The Echo buds are IPX4 certified for water resistance, which should provide protection against accidental splashes and rain. The Earbuds houses 5.7mm dynamic drivers, the company says that the speakers are optimised for increased fidelity in bass and treble. The earbuds comes with touch controls.
The 2nd Gen Echo Buds features triple rear camera, it comes with custom Active Noise Cancellation technology. The company says that this technology “uses the inner and outer microphones to intelligently estimate sound pressure in the eardrum to generate the inverse of that signal and cancel out unwanted noise”.
The 2nd Gen Echo Buds are compatible with Android (V6 or above) and iOS (v12 or above) devices. The earbuds allow users to listen to Audible audiobook, find artists on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and more, as well as listen to podcasts with voice. The earphones are said to be built with multiple layers of privacy protections and controls.
The company claims up to 5 hours on a single charge with ANC turned on, which can then extended to a total of 15 hours with the charging case. It also supports quick charging – 15 minutes will give 2 hours of listening time. The charging case of the Echo Buds can be changed through the USB Type-C port and it also supports Qi-wireless.
Price and Availability
The 2nd gen Amazon Echo Buds will be priced at $119.99 (Approx. Rs. 9,008) for the USB-C wired charging option, or $139.99 (Approx. Rs. 10,510) for wireless charging support. At launch, for a limited time Amazon will be offering a discount of $20 for both variants of the Echo Buds. The wireless earbuds will be available for purchase in the U.S. in May, 2021.
