Garmin announced Instinct, fēnix 6 and 6S, and tactix Delta adventure smartwatches with solar charging support


  Most important news coming from Garmin, the company has added their solar charging functionality to 4 smartwatches, namely the Instinct, fēnix 6 and 6S, and tactix Delta adventure smartwatches. The feature, which first appeared in their fēnix 6X – Pro Solar smartwatch, will further extend the already long battery offered by these 4 smartwatches.

   The company claims that the Instinct Solar edition will provide essentially unlimited battery life when used in Battery Saver mode and over two months when used in Expedition mode. If you use the Instinct Solar series will last for up to 24 days, which can then be extended to 50 days with sufficient solar exposure.

  However, the company said that the fēnix 6S Pro smartwatch will provide up to 10.5 days in smartwatch mode with sufficient solar exposure while the fēnix 6 Pro Solar in smartwatch mode is up to 16 days with sufficient solar exposure. Finally, the tactix Delta – Solar Edition can provide up to 24 days with sufficient solar exposure in Power Manager mode.

Price and Availability

  The Garmin Instinct Solar price will be start at Rs. $399.99 (Approx. Rs. 30,017), fēnix 6 Series – Solar Editions will start at $849.99 (Approx. Rs. 63,787)  and tactix Delta – Solar Edition will be priced at $1,099 (Approx. Rs. 82,453) in US.
