   Xiaomi has launched Redmi 5A in India, this is a budget smartphone. It has 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. This smartphone comes with dedicated Dual sim card slot.


    Xiaomi Redmi 5A is powered by 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform with 500MHz Adreno 308 GPU. It has 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage / 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, and expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD card via dedicated microSD card slot. This smartphone is running on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with MIUI 9.


     Redmi 5A has 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture PDAF & LED Flash. Rear camera can record 1080p videos. It has 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

     This smartphone didn't have fingerprint sensor, But it has Infrared sensor. It has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS connectivity. It has 3.5mm Audio jack, microUSB port and FM radio. This smartphone is packed with 3000mAh non-removable Battery.

   Xiaomi Redmi 5A is priced at ₹ 4,999 for 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version, for the first five million units, post which it will be available for ₹ 5,999. The 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version costs ₹ 6,999. It will be available exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi online store and Mi Home Stores and partner stores starting from December 7th.
