  The Garmin Forerunner 55 smartwatch has been launched, it packs a 1.04" (208 x 208 pixels) round colour display and protected by a chemically strengthened glass. The smartwatch is 5ATM certified for water resistance. It comes with silicon straps. The smartwatch has got GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, GARMIN ELEVATE wrist heart rate monitor and Accelerometer sensors. 

  The smartwatch can be contacted with your iPhone and Android smartphones, you can receive emails, texts and alerts right on your smartwatch after pairing with your smartphone. You can download custom watch faces, add data fields, and get apps from the Connect IQ Store app2. The smartwatch allows you to upload your activities to the Garmin Connect app to interact with a thriving online community where people on the go can connect and compete — and even share their triumphs via social media.

  The smartwatch also comes with women's health tracking feature, users can use the Garmin Connect app2 to track your menstrual cycle or pregnancy. Log symptoms, get exercise and nutrition education, and more.

  There is an interesting feature called fitness age, this feature uses chronological age, resting heart rate and other factors to estimate if your body is younger or older than you are. Age is just a number, after all. The stress tracking feature will find out if you’re having a calm, balanced or stressful day. Relax reminders will even prompt you to do a short breathing activity.

  The company claims that the Garmin Forerunner 55 smartwatch can deliver up to two weeks of run time in Smartwatch Mode, and up to 20 hours in GPS mode. The smartwatch is available in Aqua, Black, and White colour options.
