  All new Apple Watch series 6 has been launched, the Watch Series 6 sports a enhanced Always-On Retina display, the company said that this display panel is up to 2.5 times brighter than the previous generation. Apple also improved the Always-On display functions, now users can access Notification Center and Control Center, change watch faces, tap on complications without having to wake their watch screen.

  The Apple Watch series 6 come in 40mm and 44mm case sizes. The 44mm smartwatch has a 368x448 pixels resolution whereas the 40mm watch has a 324x398 pixels resolution. Apple Watch Series 6 comes in aluminium, stainless steel, and titanium watch cases. Apple is also introduced the Solo Loop stretchable band (soft silicone and braided yarn) for the Watch Series 6, there is a new blue color option along with the usual space gray, silver, gold aluminum, and PRODUCT RED. The company claims that the smartwatch can survive under 50 meters of water, So start tracking your splits and sets in the pool, or even map your route in open water. 

  The new Apple Watch is powered by the 64-bit S6 dual-core processor, the company said that the S6 dual core is up to 20 percent faster than the S5 processor. The flagship watch has an Apple W3 wireless chip and a U1 ultra-wideband chip as well.

  Apple Watch series 6 has got GPS/GNSS, compass, always-on altimeter, second-gen optical heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor. Most importantly, the Apple watch series 6 comes with blood oxygen monitoring support and an ECG monitor. The company said that the the Blood Oxygen sensor that conveniently measures the oxygen saturation (SpO2) of a user’s blood. It is designed to measure blood oxygen between 70 percent and 100 percent, and it employs 4 clusters of green, red, and infrared LEDs, along with the 4 photodiodes on the back crystal.   The Apple Watch series 6 runs on watchOS 7 out of the box, it brings 7 new watch faces including Stripes, Chronograph Pro, GMT, Artist, and there are other new features such as low-range VO2 Max, automatic handwashing detection, sleep tracking, and more. Most importantly, this new software comes with Family Setup feature, it allows children to access Emergency SOS at any time, enjoy an Activity rings experience, utilize Schooltime mode, etc.

  The The Apple Watch Series 6 supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5 connectivity. The company claims up to 18 hours of battery life, it use a magnetic charging cable.

Price in India and specifications

  Apple Watch Series 6 GPS version is priced at Rs. 40,900, while the GPS + Cellular version is priced starting at Rs. 49,900 in India, the Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop in (PRODUCT)RED will be available in late October. The company said that the Watch Series 6 will be available soon through Apple Authorised Resellers in India.
