  Finally, Sony has unveiled PlayStation 5 at its online event. Sony announced that the new PS5 comes in two models, the PlayStation 5 console with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition without a disc drive. You will never notice any difference between digital and disc drive variant. I really love the design of the PS5, it looks futuristic. The DualSense Wireless Controllers also looking cool, now it has posted the image of the controllers on the charging station that can charge two controllers at a time.

  The company also revealed PULSE 3D Wireless Headset, the company claims the headset will offer 3D audio and it also features dual microphone for noise-cancelling. You can navigate to movies and streaming services with built-in microphone.


  Sony also revealed the specifications of the PS5, The PS5 will powered by the 8-core AMD Zen 2 based CPU, RDNA 2 based GPU with 36 compute units. It packs 16GB GDDR6 RAM with custom 825GB NVMe SSD which is connected to the main processor via a four-lane PCI Express 4.0 interconnect. It will feature Tempest Audio engine which can process hundreds of sound sources in high quality to provide excellent sound presence and locality.

Price and Availability

  The company did not revealed any details regarding the price. However, the company said that the PlayStation 5 will be available for the holiday season this year, which is around December 2020, and we will know the price closer to the launch.
