MIUI 12 is here

  Xiaomi has introduced the MIUI 12 at an event in China. The MIUI 12 brings brings improved visual effects, new wallpapers, dark mode 2.0, privacy improvements, Improved AI phone assistant and more.

Sensory Visual Design:

  Xiaomi introduced the Sensory Visual Design in MIUI 12. So you will get storage, RAM and other system information in the form of graphs and visual diagrams with the help of Sensory Visual Design.

Super Wallpaper:

  Xiaomi added "Super Wallpaper" in MIUI 12. The company said that they created high-precision animated 3D models of Mars and Earth based on available space exploration data from NASA. You can set these Super Wallpapers on both your locked and unlocked phone screens. When the dark mode is turned on, the planet chosen by you for the wallpaper will also enter night time, thereby enhancing your visual experience.

AI Phone Assistant:

  With this feature you can do some amazing things, for example you easily set AI Automatic call answer, so you never get disturbed, AI automatically answer give answers to your callers. This feature also view the call log afterwards. AI calling for Hearing impaired, so they can communicate with others by phone. To answer a call using AI calls, you enter text, and Xiaoai helps you communicate with each other.

Privacy:

  Xiaomi also improved privacy settings in MIUI 12. Flare logs what all apps has access to cameras, microphone, or GPS location. Barbed Wire asks only once, allow every time, or reject option when app asks for location, microphone, or camera access and Mask System prevents untrusted apps from accessing contacts, calendar, call logs

Dark Mode 2.0:

  Xiaomi also introduced the Dark Mode 2.0 in MIUI 12. The company said the dark mode supports 42 built-in applications and 20 mainstream applications are deeply customized for MIUI’s dark mode, and several third-party applications.

Weather App:

  Xiaomi added natural and vital climatic elements in weather app, that lets you feel the climate change such as sunshine, breeze, rain, snow, hail etc.

Picture in Picture:

  Finally, you will get Picture-in-Picture feature in MIUI. This feature lets you drag an app to the side to transform into a small window when using full-screen apps like video players  or playing games

  Xiaomi already started rolling MIUI 12 closed beta version in China. The MIUI 11 stable Chinese ROM will be rolled out for range of devices by June, said Xiaomi. No details about the Global ROM yet.
