Cat Rugged smartphone announced

  CAT has announced it's new rugged smartphone Cat S61. It is IP68 dustproof and waterproof up to 3m for 1 hour and is certified with MIL Spec 810G and has been passed to survive repeated drop-tests. It has 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super Bright outdoor display with auto wet finger and glove support, and it has also Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It can comes with single/dual sim card slot.


   Cat S61 is powered by 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 508 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM with 64GB in-built storge, and expandable memory with microSD card. This smartphone is running on Android 8.0 Oreo OS.


   Cat S61 has 16MP rear camera with dual LED flash and PDAF. It has 8MP front-facing camera. This smartphone comes with enhanced FLIR thermal imaging capability with enhanced software for greater image contrast, expanded temperature range to 400° Celsius, and an upgrade from VGA to High-Definition detail from the visible camera providing unmatched image optimization using FLIR’s MSX technology.

    It has has an laser assisted distance measurement technology, which can measure point-to-point distances up to 10m. It has VOC indoor air quality meter, it can can alert users to high levels of indoor air pollutants. This smartphone can provide you humidity and current temperature readings.

    Cat S61 has fingerprint sensor. It has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, and NFC connectivity. It has USB Type-C port, 3.5mm Audio jack and FM radio. This smartphone is packed with 4500mAh buil-in battery and it can support Quick Charge 4.0.
